Fleet management for African operators

Your trucks are already tracked.Everything else still lives in a notebook.

Zanda Fleet takes the dots on your GPS map and turns them into dispatch, deliveries, fuel, maintenance and compliance — one system, one set of numbers, from the yard in Lusaka to the gate at the mine.

Illustration of a live trip — not customer data.

The gap

A tracking screen tells you where the truck is. It does not tell you how the business is doing.

Most operators have solved location and nothing else. The rest of the operation — what moved, what it cost, what expires next week — is spread across WhatsApp, a delivery book and three spreadsheets.

A dot on a map is not a delivery

The tracker knows the truck reached the mine. It does not know what it carried, who signed for it, whether anything was short, or which invoice that trip belongs to.

Nobody can tell you if the truck is legal today

Fitness, insurance, road tax and the driver’s licence all expire on their own dates, on paper, in different drawers. The first you hear of it is usually at a roadblock.

Fuel is the biggest line and the least visible

Litres go in at a dozen pumps against a dozen slips. Without the odometer beside them, consumption per hundred kilometres is a guess, and a siphoned tank looks like a bad week.

The workshop lives in someone’s head

Services come due by kilometres, not by dates. When the person who remembers is on leave, the service is missed and the engine pays for it.

What it does

One system for the whole trip, from the load sheet to the signature.

Plan the load, not the paperwork

A trip carries its vehicle, its driver, its stops and its cargo. Dispatch it and everyone who needs to know, knows.

  • Refuses a driver whose licence has expired, and says so before the truck leaves
  • Refuses a vehicle whose fitness or insurance has lapsed
  • Warns when a driver is already out on another trip
  • Customers get a tracking link without needing an account

Your hardware

Keep the trackers you have already paid for.

Changing fleet software should not mean changing every device in every cab. Zanda Fleet reads the trackers you own today and starts from the fleet already on them.

TrackSolid and Jimi devices

Connect the account you already have. Zanda Fleet reads your device list, matches each IMEI to a vehicle and keeps pulling positions — no new hardware, no re-fitting, no second subscription for the same trackers.

Anything that can post a position

A Traccar-compatible webhook accepts location from other platforms and from devices we have never seen. If it can send latitude, longitude and a timestamp, it can feed the fleet.

Your own systems, through the API

Scoped API keys — telemetry-write separately from read — so an integration that pushes positions cannot also read your consignments. Keys are issued and revoked per tenant, from the settings screen.

Built for here

Written for Zambian roads, not translated for them.

Kwacha and Africa/Lusaka, everywhere

Costs, fuel and invoices are in kwacha. Timestamps are local time, so 06:00 on a dispatch sheet is 06:00 at the yard — not a figure somebody has to convert in their head.

Drivers work without signal

The driver app installs from the browser, no store account needed. Inspections, proof of delivery and fuel entries are captured on the phone and queue until the phone finds a network again.

Messages on local numbers

Alerts and delivery notifications go out by SMS through a Zambian gateway, to the 26 09 numbers your drivers and customers actually carry.

Branches and depots, not one pile

Vehicles, drivers and users belong to a branch. A depot manager sees their own yard; head office sees all of them side by side.

Trailers coupled to their horses

A trailer is a unit with its own fitness and insurance, not a note in a field. Couple one or two to a prime mover and the combination carries its own capacity and its own compliance.

Data kept under Zambian law

Built against the Data Protection Act No. 3 of 2021: each operator’s data is separated at the database, access is by role, and personal information stays out of third-party logs.

Plans

Sized by the fleet, not by the feature list.

Every plan includes live tracking, dispatch, deliveries, fuel, maintenance and compliance. What changes is how many vehicles and people it has to carry.

Pricing depends on fleet size, the number of depots and whether you need us to bring your existing records across. Tell us what you run and we will quote in kwacha.

Getting started

Five steps, and the first one takes an afternoon.

  1. 01

    Connect your trackers

Your TrackSolid or Jimi credentials go straight into the integration screen. Your device list appears within minutes.

  2. 02

    Bring the fleet across

Vehicles, trailers, drivers and branches import from a spreadsheet. Units without a registration get a plant number so nothing is left out.

  3. 03

    Set the rules

Speed limits, working hours, geofences around the yards and the mines, and who may see which branch.

  4. 04

    Put it in drivers’ hands

Drivers install the app from a link and start the day with an inspection. Dispatch sees the trip open in real time.

  5. 05

    Run a month on it

Fuel, maintenance, deliveries and compliance all land in the same place. At the end of the month the numbers reconcile themselves.

Bring one depot across and see the month reconcile.

We will connect your trackers, import the vehicles you already run, and set it up with your team — then you decide whether the rest of the fleet follows.
